Vegan Chocolate Milkshake { Dairy-free }

Spread the love

I really, really, really used to like milkshakes when I was a child. I didn’t drink them all the time but boy when I had one, I was a happy little camper. Since I’ve accepted the fact that I’m lactose intolerant,  I’ve stopped drinking them. The consequences are so not worth it. This dairy-free version of a chocolate milkshake makes be very happy and my tummy approves. Drink up!

| Makes: 1 – 8 oz serving |

{ Ingredients }

1 ½ frozen ripe bananas
½ cup almond milk
2 ½ teaspoons cocoa or cacao powder
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
pinch of sea salt

1 teaspoon raw agave nectar (optional)

{ Directions }

  1. Place all of the ingredients in a blender. Cover and blend for about 35-45 seconds. If there are banana chucks left over pulse until blended well.
  2. Serve immediately.

{ Tips }

  • The riper the bananas, the sweeter. No agave needed!

Spread the love

I work here, there and everywhere as a model but I live in California. I love to cook to the tune of 20+ meals per week (that's every meal of the day everyday of the week except Friday night which is date night) ! I workout 6 days a week. I love my husband more than sweets (pinky swear) and think cold cereal is for babies. ;)
