The Best & Easiest Candied Walnuts

Spread the love

I love salads; especially the ones with candied nuts. I’ve had some some amazing candied walnuts and some that were not so amazing. Let’s face it. Ordering salads at restaurants can be a waste. The lettuce is not the best quality, it’s hard to get all organic ingredients, and they are too pricey. Ugh! This is why I make my salads at home. I can make them as big as I want, and extra candied walnuts at no extra charge. YAY! This salad makes a great snack!

{ Ingredients }

1 cup raw walnuts
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons white sugar
1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt

{ Directions }

  1. Rinse the walnuts and lay them flat to dry. Pat with a paper towel to remove excess water.
  2. Place skillet on the stove on medium heat.
  3. Immediately add the sugar.
  4. As the sugar starts to melt, slowly stir to keep the sugar from burning.
  5. Once the sugar has completely melted, add the walnuts and stir quickly. Make sure to coat all each walnut.
  6. Remove from heat and place the walnuts on parchment paper, or a baking sheet. Let cool for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Sprinkle with salt.
  8. Gently separate and let cool completely. Enjoy!

I work here, there and everywhere as a model but I live in California. I love to cook to the tune of 20+ meals per week (that's every meal of the day everyday of the week except Friday night which is date night) ! I workout 6 days a week. I love my husband more than sweets (pinky swear) and think cold cereal is for babies. ;)
